I first saw the Jesus laughing picture when my sister in law brought it to my Moms house. It was a very difficult time for us all as my sister in law was diagnosed with cancer and had only a short time to live and my Mom was 82 yrs. old and taking dialysis three times a week.I was with Moma a lot as I lived next door to her and sometimes was up with her through the night because she was in so much pain.

Besides the trip to and from dialysis, the everyday care she needed sometimes left me with little rest for myself and little time for my husband and children. I was under a lot of stress because my body was so worn out after a few months. But my sister in law gave Momma the picture of Jesus laughing and every time I was there with her I would just sit, at times, and look at the picture and it had such an impact on me. Every time I would look at it, I would feel such a joy in my heart, even in the midst of the tough times we were all going through.

For some reason our minds take on the image of a solemn looking man when we think of Jesus, or at least mine did, but when I saw Him laughing, it brought a revelation to my heart and my mind was able to see His face in a different light. It was like Jesus was saying, just laugh, laugh right in the middle of your worst day ever, laugh through the tough times laugh because I love you and joy is yours just for the asking, laugh because I am laughing with you, not at you. Jesus knew we would need to see Him laughing so we could have the courage to laugh even on our worst day, The Word of God says "A merry heart does good, like medicine", and Jesus wants our hearts to be merry so we can laugh with Him. My Mom and sister in law have both passed on now and are deeply missed as my Mom was always my very best friend and before she got sick we did everything together. I miss her so much and would not trade a moment of the time I spent with her in that last year, and I don't know what happened to the picture when she died, but I haven't seen it since so I began to search the internet for it and found your site.

I would love to have a picture and appreciate this opportunity to share how it touched my life. Even when I think of it in my mind it is so clear and brings joy and peace to me in the difficult times of my life. Jesus is the source of my joy and life is not lived until He lives through you!
