It's really interesting because it started when a friend of mine saw the Jesus Laughing portrait and thought it was a picture of Bob Marley - the raggae singer!! He asked me why I had a picture of "Bob" on my bookshelf and I told him it was actually a portrait of Jesus. He didn't believe me even when I showed him the small print at the bottom of the picture!

Then about 6 months later, Patrick and I (my then fiancée) met a pastor from Jamaica named Pastor Neil. He was so soft spoken and humble it was amazing. He had come to our church for a missions conference. Patrick was assigned to chauffeur him around town with the other pastors from overseas. So we got to know him a little. As a going away present, we gave him the Jesus Laughing portrait and told him the "Bob Marley" story. Needless to say, he was amused and really appreciated the gift. We told him to use it to evangelize Jamaica!!

So that's the story - do I get a T shirt for Christmas? Actually, we have already been so blessed by the portrait. Both Patrick and I feel that it shows Jesus as He really should be portrayed - after all, He hung out with fishermen and other very down-to-earth people. And obviously, he would have to have a wonderful sense of humor to do that!

So thanks again for the beautiful portrait and I look forward to receiving my T shirt.
